Yes, it can definitely be worth it in the long run. This is especially true because of our long summer days and the type os panels we install in Alaska. Cities with lots of sunshine, such as Fairbanks and North Pole etc. do well. Of course the winter months are nowhere near as productive. The return on investment is well worth it in the end.
