In 600AD Thales of Miletus rubbed rods of Amber together and discovered static electricity.

In the 1700’s Benjamin Franklin proved that lightning conducted electricity with his kite and metal key experiment.
In the 1800’s  Thomas Edison invented the first lightbulb and installed the first residential electrical system in the USA!

Also in the 1800’s Georg Ohm introduced “Ohm’s Law”

Again in the 1800;s Michael Faraday rotated copper coils between magnet poles and produced a steady current.

Then in the late 1800’s Tesla came on the scene and opened the first big electricity generating plant powered by the energy of Niagara Falls.

With all the technology today we have come such a long way.  It is absolutely amazing what has been done in the past, but I just can’t but to wonder what does the future of electricity look like? I don’t think we are finished discovering new wonders such as these.
